Snow-Dec. 31

I was abit late getting to the store this am as the roads are bad in our Subdivision. And I parked down the road from the store as I have to shovel out.
We are open Dec. 31 from 10-2, closed Jan. 1 and open Jan. 2 back to regular hours.
If I don't answer the phone I am working on the sidewalks. Loads of shovelling and de-icing. I have bad arthritis so it takes me abit longer than others and the guy who plows here has come yet so I am doing it by hand.

2008 almost over

Wow I just realized that I didn't even update my blog for the holidays. It must have been the craziness of Dec.
The weather was crazy, the kids were crazy, life is crazy and now 2008 is almost over with.
I am looking forward to 2009. I must say that 2008 was not a great year for me with my mom's illness and passing, I see 2008 as a time of change and stress.
I know that life will always be stressful. I have a 16 year old who is learning to driving, and I am sure my blood pressure goes up every sunny day as he knows that I can't use the poor weather conditions as a reason to not let him drive. Plus is makes me feel old.
But I am looking at 2009 as a year of renewal and time to get back on track.
I do plan on getting some scrapping done this year, need to organize my photos and stuff first. But of course I have to get my basement back together. DH finally broke down and admitted that we can't stand over the washing machine waiting for it to overflow again. (long story).
Winter is a great time to get working on your pages again. Especially since it looks like the crazy weather will continue.
My plan is to spend more time working on projects and trying new techniques. So next time you are in the store give me a kick and ask me what I am working on just so I stay on track. Maybe you would like to join me. I think I will be challenging everyone this year to get moving also.
But not till 2009.
