Quality of photos from the iPhone?

Marye Anne, you have an iPhone right? Have you taken photos with it? I've seen a few on people's blogs and they look pretty good.
I'm trying to convince myself to actually pay for the iPhone when I can get a Blackberry for free. I'm almost there and I like the size of the iPhone for running, but it's still that cost vs free thing:).

I have taken photos with it. But I haven't transfered them. Probably because I have no idea how to. I will get the kids to try on the weekend. It was neat as my oldest DS sent me an email with photos and I just transfered them to my photo section so now they are there.
I do love the Iphone for the on the go email and web surfing-though it is tiny. I can now sit at football practises and check emails and you tube.
Now I want a Kindle. You can download books to it and read on it. Like a tablet. But that one is only available in the US so far. I a such a tech junkie.

Thanks!
I have the Touch now and love it so upgrading to the iPhone will be easy. I really want to be able to check my email without having to find the closest wifi and when I run it will be really nice to have the phone.
We did 10 k this morning (running and walking, plus 300 stairs up, up, up the side of the escarpment) and my kids phoned my cell three times. It was in Janet's car. Of course, there wasn't an emergency but if there was.... it will be nice to have the phone. Also, the camera, when we do this route there are some spots that are simply stunning.... I don't want to drag my camera while I run but I would love to get some photos.
